Woodland Well-Being Special Event at Deer Wood, Loddiswell

For just two days this May, you are able to walk alongside magnificent swathes of bluebells at the peaceful haven of Deer Wood, Loddiswell. Set amongst stunning native woodland this vast display of blue is now considered an annual event that nature lovers and locals never want to miss.

For 2024, the founders, Lisa Pugh and Marc Biddle, are also celebrating their first anniversary of Deer Wood as an Eco Venue and invite you to join them on this special weekend.

This year’s theme is ‘Woodland Well Being’ and will showcase a host of approachable Outdoor Therapeutic Practitioners offering demos and informal chats for: Sound Meditation, Yoga, Environmental Art Therapy, Forest Qigong, Reiki, Natural Paint Making & Creative Expression. Also on offer will be some delicious ‘food for the soul’ with posh plant-based morsels, foraged and fermented foods to sample and enjoy.

It is no surprise to hear that visitors experiencing these unique activities in such a beautiful, safe and secluded space have felt enhanced levels of well-being. One participant in Helen’s sound meditation stated ‘… you can literally feel the strength of nature’s energy magnified inside the Circular Shelter.’

Do come along to this open weekend and experience any or all of the activities, visit the Outdoor Circular  Shelter and simply absorb the immense beauty of this special woodland place at this time of year.

This is a ‘donate-what-you-can’ special event with all proceeds gratefully received, going to the conservation of this natural woodland and also to the social outreach work undertaken by The Deer Wood Trust, a Community Interest Company.

Bluebell Open Weekend is on 4th & 5th May  10.30 – 5.50pm

Booking a parking time slot is essential if travelling by car.
(No dogs please.)
