Power tools stolen from work vans in Torquay

Police have appealed for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after thefts from vehicles overnight in the Chelston area of Torquay.

The incidents happened between 8 pm on Tuesday 14th November and 7 am on Wednesday 15th November.

Around £2000 of power tools were stolen from a vehicle on Sherwell Valley Road. Power tools were also stolen from a transit van on Raleigh Avenue.

Police are reminding members of the public not to leave valuables in their vehicles and park on a driveway or garage if possible.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by calling 101 quoting crime reference number CR/099343/17 (Raleigh Avenue) or CR/099347/17 (Sherwell Valley Road).

Information can also be passed anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or reporting online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
