Guest Blog: Longest Day Golf Challenge

Good Afternoon all you WASD followers, I’m hoping I can take a moment of your time to ask for a bit of support…

My Husband Lee Moon, brother in-law Keith Moon and Two Friends James Steven and Pete Willicot are participating in the Longest day 72 hole golf challenge for Macmillan Cancer Support, that’s a whopping 16 hours at Dawlish Warren golf course on Sunday 26th June, they will begin their challenge from sun up and won’t finish til sun down, Dawlish Warren golf course are supporting the lads by allowing them use of their golf course so they can make this happen, which is so generous of them and we would love to take this opportunity to give them a huge thanks and recognition for all their help.

What does Macmillan do……
Macmillan help with the medical needs of people affected by cancer, Macmillan also looks at the social, emotional and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support’s goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.

Macmillan is a hugely ambitious charity, they want to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer and to inspire millions of others to do the same.

There are 2.5 million people living with cancer in the UK today, and as more people live longer with their cancer, this number is set to grow to 4 million by 2030. They want to make sure they can provide support to everyone who needs it, to help people affected by cancer feel more in control of their lives.

It’s a big task and they can’t do it alone. But there are lots of ways you can get involved and help them achieve their goal, from fundraising, to volunteering and campaigning. Together we are all Macmillan.

Unfortunately we’ve all known someone with Cancer and seen the devastation it causes, so if everyone can share the heck out this so we can raise as much money to help Macmillan keep shining their light for those whom so desperately need it.

The lads have a target of £500 but would absolutely love to smash it and raise as much as possible to help Macmillan Cancer Support carry on doing such an amazing job.

Any donation helps and is massively appreciated.

If yourself or anyone you know is affected by Cancer please don’t hesitate to contact Macmillan Cancer Support, they’re there for you.

This charity is one that’s close to many people’s hearts and that’s why Lee, Keith, James and Pete are so determined to compete this challenge to raise as much as they can.

Thank you so much for your time.
