Police have appealed for witnesses following an incident in Torquay at the weekend.
A man crashed a car into a wall on Fore Street, Watcombe in Torquay before fleeing.
The incident happened at around 3pm on Saturday 4th July.
A man, dressed in black wearing a surgical face mask, drove a white BMW into a garden wall on Fore Street before making off on foot into Sutherland Drive. The man was not the vehicles owner.
Police have asked for anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to contact them.
A 22-year-old man from Kingsteignton has been arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol, failing to stop after a collision, dangerous driving, and taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent. He has been released on police bail until Saturday 25 July pending further enquiries.
