Appeal for information after cars damaged in Torquay

A number of cars in Torquay have been damaged overnight.

Cars in the Upton and Ellacombe areas of Torquay were targeted. Car registration plates were taken and a number of cars were damaged, including smashed windscreens and wing mirrors.

In posts on Facebook page Spotted Torquay, there were reports of incidents in Chatto Road, Shirburn Road, Hatfield Road and Higher Warberry Road.

Police have appealed for information.

Torquay Police said on Facebook: “We are aware of several vehicles being targeted in and around Hatfield Road, Chatto Road and Shirburn Road in the early hours of this morning. Many of these vehicles have had their number plates stolen. Officers are out conducting enquiries this morning however if anybody has any information that would assist us in this investigation please contact us on 101 or through the link below quoting the log number 179 of today’s date.
