Police have appealed for information following the theft of a mayoral chain and pendant from Newton Abbot.
Police are investigating a burglary at the offices of Teignbridge District Council, Forde Road on the Brunel Road Industrial Estate.
The mayoral chain and pendant, along with jewellery worth several thousand pounds were stolen from display cabinets during the break-in which occurred between 6pm on Wednesday 16 September and 7.30am on Thursday 17 September.
Police are urging anyone who knows of the whereabouts of the items, or has been offered them, to call 101 or email 101@dc.police.uk quoting crime reference CR/078140/20
