Appeal for witnesses following fatal collision in Torquay

Police have appealed for witnesses following a fatal collision in Torquay last night, Wednesday 26th June.

Emergency services were called to a single vehicle collision involving a black Harley-Davidson Wide Glide motorcycle on the A379, Teignmouth Road at around 8.50pm.

The rider, a 58-year-old man from Teignmouth, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The road was closed whilst police investigated the scene, officers are working to establish the cause of this collision.

Police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision or may have seen the motorcyclist travelling towards Teignmouth prior to the incident to contact them via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 0894 of 26/06/19.
