Police have appealed for witnesses following a serious collision in Torquay yesterday, Thursday 9 June.
The collision, involving a car and a pushbike on Abbey Road happened at 8:14pm.
Emergency services including the air ambulance attended the scene.
The cyclist, a 22-year-old man, was seriously injured and is in hospital.
The road was closed whilst the incident was dealt with and investigations took place.
A 27-year-old man from Torquay has been arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drink/drugs and is in police custody.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage are urged to come forward and contact the police dialling 101 quoting log number 766 09/06/2022.
