A bit of black magic, cat abuse and human sacrifice in Teignmouth


Here at WASD we love a bit of local weirdness so here’s a clip from the 2001 London Weekend Television ‘documentary’ ‘Britain’s Most Terrifying Ghost Stories’. These are “true ghost stories. An examination of the most compelling evidence on ghosts and hauntings in the UK.”

For sceptics out there – you know who you are – the story does hint at a few alternative explanations for the collection of supernatural goings-on in the lovely town of Teignmouth.

Don’t watch this if you’re a lover of cats, think children are a bit creepy even when they’re not dead, or of a generally sensitive disposition. But if you have always wanted to live in a camper van, admire provincial exorcists, and have never really trusted microwaves, this one’s for you:


Kevin Dixon went to Audley Park – now Torquay Academy – and South Devon College when it was at Torre.
