The announcement comes after Devonshire Homes closed its sites, Marketing Suites and show homes on 27th March in light of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The house builder, which currently has active construction sites in Crediton, Bovey Tracey, and St. Austell, has made the decision to start a phased process of reopening its sites in accordance with new site operating protocol guidance developed to be compliant with the government’s public health and social distancing advice. Devonshire Homes is also working in accordance with the CLC guidance document and HSE guidelines. Its site management team will be fully inducted in the new Devonshire Homes Covid-19 procedure prior to sub-contractors returning on 4th May 2020.

Devonshire Homes’ Marketing Suites and show homes across its four West Country sites will remain closed with house sales and communication with customers continuing online and via telephone and email.

During the last four weeks, Devonshire Homes has continued to sell homes and generate sales leads throughout the lockdown period. In addition to generating over 130 leads through digital communications alone, the sales team has reported taking two reservations and has completed on four homes.

Jane Pearce, Joint Acting Managing Director of Devonshire Homes, commented: “We have consulted with our staff and supply chain partners and have put in place plans to adhere to the government, Public Health England and HSE guidance. The health and safety of our staff and subcontractors is our top priority and we will be managing the reopening of the sites in a controlled and phased manner.”

Cris Neale, Joint Acting Managing Director of Devonshire Homes, added: “By resuming construction work across all of our sites, we can start to move forward with our build programme, delivering high-quality new homes to our customers. Our Marketing Suites and show homes will still be closed until further notice but we would like to re-assure all of our customers that our team are still on-hand to help with enquiries.”

Independent house builder, Devonshire Homes, has been creating new homes and communities in towns and rural areas across Devon since 1992. Its current developments include Ladywell Meadows, Chulmleigh; Longston Cross, Bovey Tracey; Tarka View, Crediton and Gwallon Keas, St. Austell.
