Dog rescued by fire crews after it was spooked by thunder and lightning

A dog was rescued by fire crews in the early hours of this morning, Thursday 13th February after it was spooked by thunder and lightning.

The fire service were called at around 2.40am by the owner of the dog after it got stuck within a neighbouring. property on Priory Road.

The dog’s owner was unable to get to the dog.

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “The dog had ran through a roof vent and had become stuck within a neighbouring property and was inaccessible to the owner.

“A Fire engine from Torquay was mobilised to help the owner retrieve her 14 year old dog and fortunately the dog was successfully rescued uninjured.”
