Fire crews were called to reports of a man stuck in a drain in Paignton early this morning.
Crews from Paignton, Torquay and Newton Abbot attended the incident in Queens Park Road just before 6.30am.
The man had become stuck in a drain after trying to retrive a lost ring. The 40-year-old’s head and shoulders were above ground.
The man was released uninjured.
It is not known if the ring was found.
