Emergency services were called to Ilsham Marine Drive this afternoon, 31st March to reports of clothing found on a wall at the edge of the road.
A search took place on land and sea, with the RNLI searching the water.
The road was closed whilst a land search in the local area took place.

Torbay Coastguard said on Facebook:”On arrival the Police had closed the road so we could set up a hold fast using urban anchors for our lines. We then deployed an Edge Safety Officer at the top and a Cliff Tech over the edge to check the area, nothing untoward was found.
“Also tasked were Berry head Coastguard and Torbay Lifeboat, Torbay Lifeboat deployed their Y-boat from the ALB to search the shoreline and Berry Head team assisted us with deployment of our Cliff Tech.
“With nothing found all teams were stood down to return to their Mothers Day and the road was re opened.”
