Man and child injured in serious collision on A30

A man and child have been injured in a collision on the A30 today, Thursday 30th May.

Emergency services were called to the collision between a car, lorry and a campervan at around 2.20pm.

Police, paramedics, the fire service and the air ambulance are currently attended the scene at Whimple.

One man has sustained seriously injuries. A child has also sustained injuries, the severity of which is unknown at this time.

The road was closed in both directions for the air ambulance to land.

The eastbound carriageway between Daisymount and Fenny Bridges will be closed for several hours.

Traffic is being diverted at Daisymount.

Significant delays are expected on the A30 and M5.
