Olly Murs has posted a message Facebook this morning to offer fans tickets to shows after his Powderham concert was cancelled.
The Olly Murs Powderham Castle concert was cancelled after the promoter of the concert, Stephen C. & Associates went into liquidation.
Fans were told they may not get a refund after the promoters issued a statement:
“As a result, the company is not in a position to offer you a refund. However, if you bought tickets with a credit card, you should contact your credit card company immediately and ask them to refund your money. If you have purchased your tickets through one of the nominated ticket agents you should contact them in the first instance,” You can find a copy of their full statement here.
The event featuring Olly Murs and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra was due to take place at Powderham Castle on 29th July.
Posting on Facebook this morning Olly said:
“To my Exeter and Bournemouth fans:
After both of these shows were cancelled when the promoter went into liquidation, I know you were all upset, and left out of pocket!
We tried to find a way of still doing the shows or rescheduling them but ended up facing too many obstacles, and we couldn’t risk letting you down again.
So, together with my management, agent and promoters of my other summer shows, we have come up with the most viable solution so I can still hopefully see most of you!
Anyone that hasn’t been offered a refund from their original ticketing company can get their ticket swapped with a replacement one to either of these following shows:
Saturday August 12th Singleton Park, Swansea or Sunday August 27th Victorious Festival, Portsmouth
For those of you that have been told you’ll be refunded from the ticket agency, you will still be offered special offer tickets to either of these.
All of the ticket issuers will be able to give you full details.
I know I’m asking you to travel to new locations, and it’s far from ideal, but we’ve really tried to make something work & I hope I can see loads of you at these other shows.
Much love always, Olly x”
