From Paignton Lions club:
Paignton Lions Club are holding their 2nd annual Fun day this August at Youngs Park on Goodrington.
Following on from the success of last year’s inaugural event this years event promises to be bigger and better with fun for all the family.
With over 20 stalls selling various wares from wax candles, Embroidery gifts, Dog accessories, toys and games to handmade soaps and much more.
We have hair braiding, face painting, Duck shoot, bungee trampoline and more.
There will also be various entertainment throughout the day with Taiko drumming and I bounce trampoline displays both of which are holding aufienhave a go sessions afterwards plus more.
Of course the event is also dog friendly and we think this much loved family member deserves to be included in the fun too. So we will also have a Family Dog Show on the day where they will be able to strutt their wares and show off to the public. Details of this will be on our website and Facebook page shortly.
We are also hoping to have a special guest or two providing that extra special bit of fun ensuring you all behave yourselves…one being of prehistoric nature and the other from another galaxy.
There will be burgers , hotdogs, candyfloss and more from Mark Rowe of MJR Catering and Ice Cream with London Boy Blue.
So there really should be something for everyone on the day.
We are naturally extremely grateful to all those who have supported this event and those who are providing their services free of charge to us on the day thus helping us to provide an entertaining day whilst raising much funds to enable us to help those in need , wherever there is a need locally , Nationally and Internationally. Every penny will be be used to help those in need.
Paignton Lions Club has been serving the Community now for over 50 years and is proud of the support it has given to many and the difference it has made.

So, the event is on Sunday August 21st 11am until 4pm at Youngs Park, Goodrington, Paignton TQ4 6BU (near the splashdown water park). There is plenty of Pay and Display car parking nearby and it’s on the bus route too. This is a free event so come along have some fun whilst supporting Paignton Lions Club and the work we do to help those in need whenever and wherever the need arises.
