Phone stolen after man threatened with knife in Paignton

​Police have appealed for witnesses to two incidents in Paignton in the early hours of Sunday morning (21st August).

The first incident happened at around 1.20am in the Geoplay Park, near to the Vue Cinema. An 18 year old man was approached by another man who asked him for a cigarette. When the victim declined, the other man grabbed him and threatened him with a knife, demanding his mobile phone. When the victim refused, the man ran off.

The suspect is described as white, around 25 years of age, around 6 feet tall and of slim build. He wore dark clothing including a black tracksuit.

The second incident reported to police happened very shortly afterwards in the Geoplay Park area when a man of similar description grabbed a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge mobile phone from a man aged 35 years old having threatened him and then made off with the phone.

It is thought the two incidents are linked.

Police are appealing for witnesses to two incidents in the Paignton Green and seafront area of Paignton in the early hours of Sunday 21.
