Police have appealed for witnesses following an alleged rape in Torquay at the weekend.
The incident happened on Saturday 1 October between 3.45- 4.15am in an alley.
An 18-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man who sexually assaulted her in an alley in Torquay town centre. Police have appealed for witnesses and would like to speak to anyone who was in the Park Lane area at the time, or who saw anything suspicious.
A 23-year-old man from Torquay was questioned in connection with the offence and has been bailed pending further enquiries.
