Update: The identity of the child is now known, however the police have yet to locate the parents.
Police have appealed to the public after a baby boy was found in the street in Torquay today, Wednesday 2nd January.
The boy aged between one and two was found earlier this afternoon.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall police said: “Police were called at 1.25pm on 2 January to reports of young child being found in the street at Main Avenue, Torquay.
“The child is described as a white boy aged between one and two.
“Officers are in attendance and conducting enquiries to try and locate the parents or family of the boy,”
