The 33-year-old victim was hit with what is believed to have been a hammer. The two suspects then wrestled the cash box from the victim and fled the scene in a waiting silver Vauxhall estate driven by another man.

The car left the scene at speed, travelling down St Marychurch Road in the direction of Westhill Road.

The victim has been released from hospital with minor injuries.

Police are keen to trace witnesses to the incident and anyone who saw the vehicle before, during or after the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting crime reference CR/101840/17.

You can also give information anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
