Police have named the woman who died following a hit and run in Torquay last week.
Emergency services were called to Torbay Road, near the Princess Theatre at 11.15pm on Friday 11th January to reports of a collision between a van and pedestrian.
Sophie Bond, aged 30 died after sustaining life-threatening injuries in the collision.
The van involved fled the scene but was located in Paignton by officers.
A 52-year-old man from Paignton was arrested in relation to the incident. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Enquiries are ongoing at this time.
Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to contact police on 101 quoting log number 983 of 11/1/19.
