Avenue Road in Torquay is currently closed due to a fire in Torquay this evening, Tuesday 16th July.
The road is closed in both directions, with emergency services at the scene.
At least three fire engines are in attendance along with police.
The road is closed between Newton Road and Cleveland Road. Traffic is coping well and taking diversions.
Torquay police said on Facebook: “Torquay Officers are currently assisting the Fire Service with an incident in Avenue Road, Torquay. Please be aware that Avenue Road from the junction of Newton Road is currently closed. We’ll update again once this is opened. Thank you,”
