Jetty Marsh Road in Newton Abbot is currently cordoned off by police today, Saturday 26th January.
Police, the police helicopter and fire crews have all been in attendance.
The nature of the incident is not yet clear.
People in the area have reported seeing a search in the water.
Police have been unable to give any details at this as investigations are still ongoing.
