Union Street in Torquay is currently closed due to a police incident.
Police, including armed police are currently at the scene of the incident and have closed the road between Brunswick Terrace and Trematon Avenue.
Traffic is being diverted with buses having to change routes.
The police helicopter has been seen hovering above the area.
