Cowley Bridge Road in Exeter remains closed following a major fire today, Saturday 25th January.
Emergency services have been at the scene since this this morning.
Fire crews continue to monitor and dampen down the building.
A small number of houses were evacuated but residents have since been allowed to return.
The road is expected to remain closed until tomorrow morning. Surrounding roads have now been reopened.
The cause of the fire is not being treated as suspicious.
Local Policing and Partnership Superintendent, Neil Ralph said: “I’d like to thank you all for your patience and cooperation today whilst we dealt with this major incident.
“I’d also like to thank the emergency services and many other partner agencies who have worked incredibly hard at the scene throughout the day.
“You may continue to see emergency services at the scene into tomorrow morning but I hope that this will not cause much disruption.”
