Torquay Museum invites big kids and small kids alike to a fun-filled Roald Dahl Family Fun Day from 10am on Saturday 17th September to celebrate 100 years of the World’s No. 1 children’s storyteller, as part of a series of events throughout Britain to mark the centenary of his birth.
Talented Willy Wonka impersonator Jonty Depp will be at Torquay Museum in person to entertain visitors, and fans of the BFG, Matilda, Willy Wonka and all of Dahl’s other eccentric and loveable characters can enjoy a day of trails, films and fun.
Visitors to Torquay Museum’s Dahl Family Fun Day can enter a fancy dress competition as their favourite Dahl character and win a Golden Family Ticket to the Dahl Museum. Then complete the Museum’s fun Dahl Trail and win a prize. Watch a free film based on a favourite Dahl book. Join in our craft activities and make a pair of BFG ears and Mr Twits’ Beard. Create your own BFG Dream Catchers, then help to make a Dream Jar and add your own dreams. Discover which Dahl character you are most like, and enjoy lots more Dahl-themed arts, crafts and fun.
Tickets for Torquay Museum’s Roald Dahl Family Fun Day are £5 each and can be purchased on the day at Torquay Museum.
