South Devon Samaritans are seeking volunteers to work at their branch based in Torquay.
Could you spare some time to help out the Samaritans, even a few hours a week could make a difference.
“There are lots of ways you can help. Our branch is kept active and running not only by volunteers who listen to callers, but by people who give their time to; fund raise, fix things, office and admin jobs, publicity … all the other jobs which help spread the word about what we do, and to best support those that call, visit or write to us.
“Its also worth making the point that our volunteers are just ordinary people who give up their time to help others. You don’t have to be special, you just have to want to offer a friendly ear to someone who is going through a hard time,” [Branch Website]
