Seagulls rescued by firefighters in Paignton

Fire service alerted to Paignton house fire by neighbour

Two seagulls were rescue by fire crews in Paignton this evening, 14th May.

One fire appliance from Paignton was mobilised to reports of a seagull trapped in ducting at an address in Torquay Road.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said on their website:
“Crews used a 105 ladder and small tools to release the bird. When access was gained into the ducting there was actually two seagulls that were in there.

“Both birds released unharmed and back into the wild,”
