Inspector Antonia Weeks said:

“A large number of enquiries are being undertaken to identify any clue to his plans. Areas of interest are being searched by trained officers and information cascaded in press outlets is a key line of enquiry.

“Arthur has given no indication of his intentions before he disappeared but it is possible he has travelled away from the area.

“Arthur’s parents and family are understandably very concerned by his disappearance and simply wish to know he is safe.  A significant community effort has taken place to seek information locally and further afield.

“Arthur may be trying to travel and he may have tried to change his appearance.  He is 5’ 4” tall and of slight build. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact Devon and Cornwall police quoting log 255 of 14th September 2016.”

If you see him or have any information, please contact police immediately quoting incident number 255 of 14th September.
