The search for a missing dog continues this morning after it was snatched by a seagull yesterday afternoon, Sunday 21st July.
The tiny chihuahua Gizmo was taken from a garden by a seagull who flew off with the dog in its beak.
The incident happened in the Stanley gardens area of Paignton.
Owner Becca Hill said her partner was hanging out the washing when the seagull swooped down and took the dog.
UAV lost dog search and rescue who have been helping the family said on Facebook last night: “Search for this evening has been called off.
A lot of gardens have been checked and cleared along with rooftops, garage roofs and trees.
“There is still a lot more to check through in a wider area and we ask that anyone living in the Colley end, berry road, berry Avenue area, ailescombe, Stanley gardens could please help by checking their gardens and any visible rooftops.
“Leaflets will be distributed tomorrow in these areas for those who do not use social media.
“Thank you so much to everyone who has helped or allowed to look around gardens today and are very appreciative of your support for the family of Gizmo.
“Searches will continue tomorrow morning.”
So far, there have been no sightings.
