Following a post on Facebook page Spotted Torquay about a large dog attacking a cat, it soon became apparent that cat was Sox.

The incident happened yesterday, Friday 19 February and Sox has not been seen since running away injured and limping.

The post, sent in by a witness to the attack, stated: “To the parents who have allowed their children to walk two husky cross German shepherds dogs in Torquay town it has just had a black and white cat in its mouth swinging it around the cat will be very lucky to be alive with the way the dog attacked it will be on camera so if anyone works in primark sees this can you please look at your cctv”.

Sox lives near Union Street with his owners. Family member Lorraine said today: “We still haven’t found Sox – the Torquay so much loved cat. Can you please check your gardens, rubbish area, or under cars if you live off Abbey Road, or off market street or know someone that does plz ask them to please check. Also we still haven’t been able to get access to the storey car park yet, so if anyone as a solution how to access please let us know. Thank you so much for all your support”

If you have seen Sox, you can message Spotted Torquay who will put you in contact with his owner.
