Six year old seriously injured in collision

Police cordon off area in Paignton due to incident

A six-year-old girl has been seriously injured in a collision in Teignmouth today, 4th April.

Emergency services were called just before 5pm following a collision between a Ford Ranger pick-up and the child in Bitton Park Road near First Avenue.

Police, ambulance crews and Devon Air Ambulance attended the scene.

The girl is reported to have been taken to Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Police have closed Bitton Park Road and remain at the scene, the road is expected to be shut for some time.

Police have advised motorists to find an alternative route for the time being.

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 535 of 04/04/17.
