Appeal for witnesses after teenager serious injured in collision

Police have appealed for witnesses to a collision in Teignmouth this morning.

Posting on Social media, Teignmouth and Dawlish Neighbourhood Police explained that one man has been arrested following a collision on Exeter Road.

A PCSO was out on patrol when she was flagged down at 10:30am to assist with a car that had collided with a number of stationary vehicles.

A male in his 40’s, suspected to be the driver, has been arrested on suspicion of driving whilst under the influence of drugs, taking the car without consent, no insurance and no license. Searches of the car and surrounding area were conducted by a specialist drug dog unit and the vehicle has been seized and taken off the road.

Police are continuing to make enquiries, they have asked for witnesses to contact them via 101 quoting log number 225 17/05/16 or message Teignmouth and Dawlish Neighbourhood Police on Facebook.
