Commenting on the hotel’s anniversary celebrations, Gwyn Gibbons, General Manager of The Imperial Hotel Torquay said:
“In November, The Imperial Hotel will have been welcoming guests through its doors for 150 years. That’s an achievement we simply had to mark.
“We’re very excited to host a week of events to celebrate this momentous occasion and look forward to welcoming guests new and old as we start a new chapter in the hotel’s already rich history.”
Imperial in both name and nature, over the last 150 years, this historic hotel has been a home away from home for British and European royalty, famous musicians, stars of stage and screen and literary greats. Notable guests have included King Edward VII, Emperor Napoleon III, Queen Victoria and the Beatles. English crime writer, Dame Agatha Christie, perhaps Torquay’s most famous resident, was a frequent visitor to The Imperial Hotel.
Why not follow in their footsteps and help celebrate The Imperial Hotel’s 150th anniversary. Special bedroom rates will be available to guests who wish to attend any of the hotel’s milestone celebration events. Birthdays don’t come much bigger. So booking early is essential.
