These are the Torbay Council candidates for the May 2nd election

On the 2nd of May, tens of thousands of voters will travel to polling stations in Torbay, to vote for the next batch of councillors.

They are the first elections since the Snap-Election in 2017 and fireworks are highly anticipated. The national political scene is forging a highly volatile political atmosphere, and recent by-elections across the country are producing interesting voting shifts.

The polls open from 7am on Thursday 2nd May, and will be open until 10pm

Unfortunately, the registration date for eligibility to vote in the local elections has passed. European Elections take place on 23rd May, and the cut off for registration is 7th May. You can register to vote here: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
