There are also road works on Riviera Way, between Newton Road and Torquay bound causing delays.

There have been comments on social media regarding the lack of warning from the council. Torbay Council had posted on their social media page on 13th May to pre-warn the public about the works, saying: “Weather dependent, surface work dressing will be carried out on Sunday 19 May and Monday 20 May on Hellevoetsluis Way (South Bound) and both sides of Riviera Way. Motorists are asked to avoid these roads on both days as delays are expected.

“The cost of the works are in the region of £200k and are part of Torbay Council’s Capital Programme for investing in highway infrastructure.”
