Travellers set up in Torquay park

Travellers appear to have set up in a park in the Willows area of Torquay this afternoon, Thursday 7th June.

Lindisfarne Park is popular with families as it has both a junior and toddler playground. It is also a popular place for people to walk their dogs.

Reports on social media claim that the lock has been broken to gain access to the park.

There are currently two caravans/motorhomes on the site.

One local resident commented on Facebook: “They did this last year and they were booted out pretty quick.”

Torbay Council are aware of the situation.
