“Carl will be missed by his family and many, many friends.
“He was passionate about motor racing ever since he was given his first Suzuki scrambler bike on his eleventh birthday, and became involved in Rallying after his brother Jan took him to the 1986 RAC Lombard Rally when he was fifteen.
“When Carl was sixteen he began get involved in rallying and as a member of Plymouth Motor Club, he was soon competing in car rallies as a co-driver, winning many trophies. He also took his Subaru Impreza STi on track days with his brother Carl who also shared his need for speed.
“Over the years Carl competed alongside a number of well-known rally drivers, most recently this included being co-driver for his good friend Gary LeCoadou in their iconic Hyundai i20 WRC World Rally car.
