Emergency services have attended a suspected gas explosion at a bungalow in Buckfastleigh this morning, Saturday 23rd March.
A woman in her seventies has suffered serious burns and has been taken to hospital. A second person was treated for minor injuries at the scene at Barn Park.
Police, fire crews and air ambulance were mobilised to the incident at around 7.50am
Other nearby residents have been evacuated while the building is being made safe.
Police and Devon Fire and Rescue Service are currently working to establish the cause.

A cordon remains in place covering the Barn Park and Jordan Street area.
