Update: Torquay house severely damaged by fire

The fire service were called to a report of a fire at a house in Torquay this evening, 25th July.

Four fire appliances from Torquay and Paignton attended the scene in Crownhill Park at around 7.20pm.

The fire, on the first floor of the property spread to the loft.

The fire at the end terrace house has caused severe damage. The bedroom on the first floor has been destroyed by the fire, the roof was also damaged with other parts of the house damaged by water, heat and smoke. 

The cause of the fire was accidental.

All occupants got out of the property.
The area was cordoned off to vehicles and pedestrians.

Fire crews remained at the scene damping down after the fire had been extinguished.
