Velopark officially launches during Torbay cycling festival

Update: https://wearesouthdevon.com/torbay-velopark-reopens-after-travellers-move-to-playing-fields/

Torbay Velopark is currently closed after travellers pitched up, blocking the access road.

It is believed that the travellers arrived late last night.

Caravans, vans and cars are currently on the council owned land at Clennon Valley in Paignton.

The £800,000 facility is usually open daily. It is not currently known when the Velopark will reopen.

A spokesperson for Torbay Velopark said on Facebook:
“Due to circumstances outside of our control the Velopark is currently closed until further notice.

“This is due to access to the site being restricted as travellers are camping in the access road. As soon as we have any update we will let you know,”
