Warning to cat owners after cat shot in head

A cat owner in Torquay has posted a warning to other cat owners in the Queensway area after their cat was shot in the head.

The cat is still recovering from the incident which happened in December.

A pellet gun is thought to be responsible for the injuries.

Posting via Facebook page Spotted Torquay, the cats owner said: “Cat owners in Queensway Torquay, beware! Someone has shot my cat in the head with a pellet gun!! This happened around 2 weeks ago but now it looks like the impact has damaged her sight! (Another trip to the vets) Whoever you are I hope it made you feel big shooting an innocent animal! a 7 yr old little boy’s pet!! If not here are some pictures to help!! I hope you can sleep at night!”

The cats owner, Kylie Hastings told us
the cats treatment so far has involved injections, antibiotics and daily antiseptic wash.

Crime reference number CR1208/19 relates to the incident.
