Sunday the 1st saw the newly reformed Paignton ladies rugby team traveled down to a sunny St Austell for their first match against St Austell angels.
Both sides are new teams this season so it was a close match. St Austell were first over the line but Paignton soon came back with a try from Captain Vicki Hodder converted by Jordan Crook.
A rally of tries came from both sides with Paignton coming out the eventual winners 29-20 other tries came from Hannah rose hill and Jordan crook with Crook converting another.
Paignton’s players of the match were Louise Arr, Rosalind Mitchell Blondrage and Rachael Milner.
Paignton ladies have their next match at home when St Austell come to Queens park on 22nd Nov.
