Radio 1’s Big Weekend: Don’t risk tickets being cancelled

50,000 Free tickets were given away this morning for this years Radio 1’s big weekend.

The 2 day event is being held at Powerham castle on 28th and 29th May, with 25,000 tickets being allocated for each day, most tickets were allocated to those in the Exeter and Teignbridge areas.

The tickets were snapped up in just over an hour.

The line up so far includes Coldplay, Ellie Goulding, The 1975, Chase And Status, Bring Me The Horizon, Craig David and Jake Bugg. The full line up will be released soon.

Some people have already tried to sell on tickets (which they don’t physically have yet) using social media as a platform.

So, you missed out and are tempted to buy some….. Don’t!

Tickets sold on are breaking terms and conditions agreed during the booking process and risk being cancelled.

Radio 1 Statement:

“Tickets for BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Exeter are free and we work with those running major auction websites and sales outlets to have posts offering tickets for sale or trade removed. Those offering tickets for sale are breaking the Terms & Conditions they agreed to during the booking process and we reserve the right to cancel them. Radio 1 is the only place that you can get tickets for the event, and whilst tickets were snapped up in just over an hour, some further tickets will be given away on Radio 1 in the lead up to the event. Those who don’t have tickets will be able to enjoy the event on Radio 1, Radio 1’s channel in BBC iPlayer, online and on BBC Four.”

So, keep listening to Radio 1 and hopefully they’ll be a few more tickets given away.
