Road closed due to serious collision

Update: a man in his 20s has died following the collision: https://wearesouthdevon.com/motorcyclist-dies-following-collision-in-bishopsteignton/
The A381 has been closed due to a serious collision. 

Newton Road, Bishopsteignton is closed whilst investigations are carried out following a serious accident.

The road is closed both ways between Bishopsteignton and Teignmouth between Cockhaven Road (Bishopsteignton) and The Lea (Teignmouth), congestion on A379 to Lower Brook Street (Teignmouth Train Station).

Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact police via 101@dc.police.uk or by phone on 101, quoting log number 250 of 23/08/17.
